Gaetano D'Agostino (born 3 June 1982 in Palermo) is an Italian footballer, playing as a technical and clever playmaker for Serie A's Udinese Calcio.
He was brought up in the AS Roma youth system and, in 2001, went to AS Bari with co-ownership rights as part of the deal that brought Antonio Cassano to Roma. He then came back to Roma for the 2003/2004 season but did not figure much and was sent to newly promoted Messina. In the two seasons at Messina he made 42 appearances and scored 4 goals, and was the one of the main reasons for the team's overachievements. In the summer of 2006 he was bought by Udinese.
D'Agostino was also a starlet with the Italian U-21 squad, making 17 appearances and scoring 4 goals.
D'Agostino received his first senior call-up in November 2008, but did not play. It is reported that he will be playing for Juventus next season. His agent has repetedly been saying that for months. This buy will add some creativity to Juventus' central midfield.
